Chalkboard paint is awesome! It comes in spray cans and bottles. For this project, it is easier to use the bottled paint as you can simply paint it onto a platter. I often wondered what I could do with old dishes that have hairline cracks or damage. If you don't like a pattern, you can spray the dish white and then paint some black chalkboard paint in the center. You could do several plates and hang them on your wall using dish hangers. Change your sayings every now and then or add your Monogram. The possibilities are endless.
