What Should I Do?

What should you do if you seem to have a hard time making decisions? Well, I don't know about you. But I turn my husband into some magic genie who can answer questions. Yes, my husband is so cool that he let me wrap a skirt around his head and hang jewelry off of it. This is the greatest idea I've had in a long time. I'm going to use this interactive video like every day! "Hmmm, should I have a coffee with ice cream in it?" Rauji says, "Yes! Why yes you should!" Next time you wonder if you should dye your hair purple, feel free to use my husband. Only, don't blame him if the results aren't what you expected – blame the hairdresser.

The only downside? – This isn’t mobile friendly yet – Rauji likes computers best.

Bye Bye Land Line!

I did it! I got rid of my land line. This all stemmed from our Verizon service going doing for a little more than an entire week! I figure, if I can go a week without service, I can keep on going. If I live to be about 80, this should save me a little more than $26,000; not figuring for inflation. I'm liking that!

Pros:

1. No more bill to pay each month
2. No more annoying phone calls to answer, privacy is heavenly
3. I sold my phone on eBay for $80
4. No more answering machine to check

Cons:

1. I might need to give out my cell phone number when signing up for a credit card which means I might start getting unsolicited calls. We'll see. I might just give out my husband's work number if a phone number is required. I don't want calls coming through to my cell phone since I only get so many minutes on my plan.

Dryer Lint Art of the Century!

Something fabulous happened yesterday! The most glorious dryer lint in all of my 36 years has finally come to be! I believe this should be framed. This Neapolitan dream seems to have been created by a load of darks, followed by whites, then colors, then darks again. Yes. That was the process used. Conception began before Christmas because I remember washing a pair of sparkly Justice slippers that I got at the thrift store. The actual birth occurred on 1/5/2015.

I'm really liking this website! At myfitnesspal.com, I can easily type in any food I eat and track the calories along with other things like fat, sugar, sodium, and more! I've entered my starting weight and measurements. This is something that I am going to use for a month. It is really helping me to take notice of what I eat. I noticed my daily protein allotment was down, so I started eating more meat. Also, I enter my daily exercise and it tells me automatically how many calories I burned each day and what I am expected to weigh in 5 weeks if I continue at my current pace. This is a really great free tool. I stumbled across it by accident the other day when I was looking for a calorie counter. This is what I was looking for and so much more! It's perfect!

An Inexpensive Hair Makeover:

This is such an easy way to jazz up your hair without having to pay to go to a salon. The added bonus is that the color will wash out in 3-4 shampoos (non damaging). Simply add color to clean hair and blow dry or air dry. You can find this product at Target stores. Check out what I did to my daughter's hair today using "pink pop" and "purple mania". I only added a few drops. This product will last us for years (if not the rest of our lives).

Cheap Entertainment!

Get together with a bunch of friends and go caroling. I made an event on Facebook and we'll be gathering in the center of town tomorrow to do a caroling power walk. That's right! We'll be getting exercise while we sing our favorite songs of the season spreading cheer. Some of the songs will be non-traditional including the Grinch, Santa Baby, Do You Wanna Build a Snowman, and Snow Miser. I'm simply printing lyric sheets for each person and we'll be winging it! Everyone was asked to wear something red so that we look like a planned group.
