Art Exhibitions

Come one, come all, to the biggest thrift store around to celebrate the launch of local artist, Jamie Jay's new book "Living Big on a Small Income, The Classy Cheapskate Way!" Jamie Jay was recently featured on TLC's Extreme Cheapskates showing creative ways to save money. Jamie welcomes everyone to come on down to the Community Aid thrift store in Selinsgrove, PA for her book signing where paperback versions of her book will be available at half off the list price. She also has a special treat for anyone making a book purchase. Along with the book signing, there will be original art on display and for sale (cash only). Jamie’s art is created using unwanted or discarded materials and includes items such as coasters made from used cat litter which is baked to almost 2000 degrees Fahrenheit in her kiln, whimsical art made from dryer lint, pillows made from earth dug clay, and portraits from photography sessions held in public dressing rooms. Jamie hopes to share her frugal ways with anyone interested.
